Misses in a row
Choose the minimum and maximum misses for each group. Changes are saved on this device.
Both dynamic modes include 0. The 00 option applies to dynamic modes only. Switching modes recalculates the entered history; highlight ranges are shared across modes.
Each row: group size · minimum misses · maximum misses. Amber rows have a minimum above the maximum and cannot highlight.
QUICK GUIDE
How to use The Edge
Enter roulette results on the number board. Each group contains as many numbers as its size: Group 5 contains five numbers. Open a group under Numbers for the next spin to see exactly which numbers it contains.
Choose a group mode in Settings
Fixed numbers: Group 5 always contains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. This preserves the original tool, including its rule that 0 and 00 leave the fixed-mode miss counts unchanged.
Most recent unique numbers: Group 5 contains the five most recently seen different numbers. For example, results 12, 0, 7, 23, 9 give Group 5 the numbers 9, 23, 7, 0, 12. Another 7 moves it to the front without adding a duplicate. A new 18 changes the group to 18, 7, 9, 23, 0. A group waits until enough different eligible numbers have been entered; its first scored spin is the next one after it fills.
Longest absent numbers: Group 5 contains the five numbers that have gone longest without appearing in the entered history. Numbers not seen in this session rank ahead of numbers that have appeared. Ties use numerical order (0 first, then 1–36, then 00 if enabled). Groups begin after the first entered spin; there is no assumed history before your session.
How misses and highlights work
Dynamic groups are scored using their pre-spin numbers: a result inside that group resets its misses to zero; a result outside adds one miss. The numbers then update for the next spin. The counter follows the changing group through the session, rather than retrospectively counting misses for its newest set of numbers.
In Settings, give each group a minimum and maximum miss count. A ready group highlights when its count lies within that inclusive range. For example, a range of 1–5 highlights after 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 misses, then stops at 6. Dynamic modes highlight group cards; fixed mode also highlights the corresponding group-size button on the number board.
Dynamic groups normally use 0–36. Enable Include 00 for American roulette. With 00 disabled, a manually entered 00 is outside every dynamic group and counts as a miss. Random uses 37 outcomes in dynamic mode, or 38 with 00 enabled; fixed mode retains its original 38 outcomes.
Undo removes the last result and rebuilds the groups and counters. Clear starts a fresh spin history. Switching modes rebuilds the same history under the selected rule. Mode, 00 preference and highlight ranges are saved on this device; spin history is kept for the current page session.
These are two selectable interpretations of dynamic groups. They are not a verified recreation of your friend's old tool.
Past results and highlighted groups do not predict the next spin or change the odds.
